The “Thomson” azimuth device has two different colored swiveling shadow glasses for sun bearings. The side bearing is to read on the graduated scale of the compass using index marks on two sides of the azimuth device.
Compass bearings can be taken using the compass card through a rotating glass prism with an index wire. A built-in spirit level in the frame indicates whether the diopter is horizontally correctly aligned.
The scope of delivery also includes a shadow pin to plug into the center pivot of the compass.
This device fits our TYPE/11 and TYPE/12 reflection and bearing compasses.
The azimuth device is certified according to ISO25862 and IEC60945.
The instrument is securely stored in a plastic case included in the delivery.
