Description

The REFLECTA/1 is a compass binnacle for worldwide navigation. It complies with the European MED ("wheelmark") approval and all important international regulations. All essential components are included:

Bearing compass

Emergency lighting
Mounting material
Documentation & individual certificate

A horizontal by-pass tube with a maximum length of 2 metres can be used instead of the vertical reflection tube. The REFLECTA/2 must be used for deflections longer than 2 metres.

Reflection tube

Optical device underneath the compass stand for reading the course in the wheelhouse at the helm.

Contains lenses and mirrors as well as the rotating mirror head with view.

The single vertical reflection tube can be designed as a CUTUBE or FIXTUBE. The mirror head can be adjusted 150 mm in height.

A by-pass tube is used if the helm position is not directly below the stand. In this case, the mirror head can only be extended as an extra.

CUTUBE or FIXTUBE

If data a) to g) (see dimension sheet) are not available, we recommend using the CUTUBE. The length is 1200 mm. The tube can be shortened at the shipyard and thus adapted to the special conditions. However, if this data is known, the FIXTUBE can be cut to the final length before delivery. Please specify when ordering whether FIXTUBE or CUTUBE is required.

Horizontal by-pass

The horizontal by-pass can be up to 2 m, the total length of the optical transmission up to 3 m. The horizontal by-pass can be orientated forwards, astern, transversely or in any other direction. The REFLECTA/2 is the binnacle of choice for longer transmissions. The by-pass must be individually adapted to the bridge design. Deflection consisting of:

Loose deck duct
Plastic channel (width 190 mm, height 160 mm) with removable cover at the bottom, containing two tilting and swivelling mirrors and a guide for deck feed-through
Reflective tube (can be extended as an extra), permanently mounted on the deflector, 120 mm tube Ø, with swivelling mirror head, containing one day and one night mirror in an adjustable holder

Height of the binnacle

The compass binnacle can be supplied in different lengths depending on the radius of the iron clearance zone. The standard card height is 1200mm.

It can be customised to 910 or 1800mm.
