The HO 249 are the most common charts for astronomical navigation by hand.

Volume 1 is suitable for fixed stars with declination up to 80° and for star prediction. The validity is limited to 5 years.

Volumes 2 and 3 cover the geographical latitudes 0°-40° and 39°-89° (north/south) and declination up to 29°. Both volumes are suitable for sun, moon and planets with unlimited validity.
