REFLECTA/3

Description

The REFLECTA/3 is a compass stand for worldwide travel. It complies with all national and international regulations. The rose diameter is 160 mm and the standard rose card height above deck is 1100 mm. The total length of the optical reflection transmission to the steering position in the wheelhouse is limited to about 3 metres. Horizontal deflections of up to 2 metres can be used. All necessary components are included:

• Reflection compass
• Bearing device
• Reflection tube
• Correctors
• Lighting,
• emergency lighting
• mounting material.

Approvals and applications are the same as REFLECTA/1, only the size is smaller.

Reflection device

Optical device underneath the compass stand for reading the course in the wheelhouse at the helm.

Contains lenses and mirrors as well as the rotating mirror head with view.

The single vertical reflector tube can be designed as a CUTUBE or FIXTUBE reflector tube. The mirror head can be adjusted 150 mm in height.

A deflection is used if the helm position is not directly below the stand. In this case, the mirror head can only be extended as an extra.

CUTUBE or FIXTUBE

If data a) to g) (see dimension sheet) are not available, we recommend using the CUTUBE reflector tube. The length is 1200 mm. The tube can be shortened at the shipyard and thus adapted to the special conditions. However, if this data is known, the FIXTUBE can be cut to the final length before delivery. Please specify when ordering whether FIXTUBE or CUTUBE is required.

Deflection

The horizontal deflection channel can be up to 2 m, the total length of the optical transmission up to 3 m. The deflection channel can be orientated forwards, astern, transversely or in any other direction. REFLECTA/2 must be used for longer transmissions. The deflection must be individually adapted to the bridge design. Deflection consisting of:

• Loose deck duct
• Plastic channel (width 190 mm, height 160 mm) with removable cover at the bottom, containing two tilting and swivelling mirrors and a guide for deck feed-through
• Reflective tube (can be extended as an extra), permanently mounted on the deflector, 120 mm tube Ø, with swivelling mirror head, containing one day and one night mirror in an adjustable holder

Height of the stand column

The compass stands can be supplied in different lengths depending on the radius of the iron clearance zone. The standard rose card height is 1100mm.

It can be customised to 920 or 1800mm.
